Purchasing Precious Metals and Coins from Vault Wholesale
Buying precious metals from Vault Wholesale is easy. Whether you’re buying one coin or massive quantities of coins and/or bars, we are happy to help. Almost all of the time, you’ll find us to be friendly, patient, lighthearted, no pressure and maybe even a little humorous. Maybe.
Our sales are by phone only – we don’t sell online. To place an order, or to simply get a fresh quote, please call us at 209.610.0941 seven days a week.
The ordering process:
Please note that, unless specified otherwise at time of purchase, all products we offer are in stock and ready to ship.
– Call us for a price quote
– The price we quote is the price you pay – no added commissions, no service charges, no other hidden fees, no surprises, period.
– The moment you accept our quote, we lock your price in.
– Unless specified otherwise, you will receive a trade confirmation via email within 15-30 minutes. This confirmation (invoice) will include all details; the price(s) we agreed to, your shipping info, our payment details etc. Please reply to email with verification that all details are accurate (especially your shipping address!)
– We will email when your payment has been received. At that time, we will inform you of when we expect to ship your order.
– Shipping is typically within 1-3 business days of your funds clearing. In most cases, if you pay by bank wire, your order will ship the next day. If you’re paying by check, your payment might take a week to clear. Want your metal fast? Please pay by bank wire. It is the fastest and most secure way to complete your transaction.
– Once we ship your order, we will email you a shipping confirmation with tracking info
– When we see your order has been received, we will contact you to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your Vault Wholesale experience.
Payment
– Please note that our published prices reflect a discount for payment by personal check or bank wire.
– Once you have a confirmed order to buy from (or sell to) Vault Wholesale, we have both entered into a legally binding agreement.
– The price at the time that you place your order is the final price, even if fluctuations in the market occur after the order is placed.
– We accept bank wires, personal checks and company checks. That’s it.
– Bank wire instructions (or our payment info and address if you’re mailing a check) will be included in the written trade confirmation you will receive by email.
– Payment by check: please, please, please mail within twenty four (24) hours of order confirmation. Some folks are okay with a simple stamp. Others prefer to send with a tracking number (your choice of priority mail, certified mail, FedEx etc.). If you do choose to mail us your check with tracking, please email us that tracking number. Thanks!
– Checks typically take 3-5 business days to clear. Your purchases will be approved for shipment within 1-3 days off payment clearing.
FAQ:
Q: The day after I locked my price, silver tanked. Do you adjust your price?
A: If silver had gone up, would you be asking us if you can pay more? No, a lock is a lock
Q: Do you sell outside the US?
A: Nope. Sorry.
Q: Do you accept cashier’s checks, third party checks or money orders?
A: Absolutely not. We accept bank wires and your business or personal check only.
Privacy
At Vault Wholesale, your privacy is very important to us. Information collected from Registered Users is stored on databases and other servers kept in secure locations under the sole custody and control of Vault Wholesale or its third party hosting services. User accounts and profiles are password-protected using industry-standard, commercially reasonable methods.
Reportable Bullion Transactions
Government reporting requirements are arguably the most misunderstood aspect of precious metals purchasing. Simply put, to the best of our knowledge, there is only one situation where a dealer is required to report your purchase; that is when a purchase involves more than $10,000 in cash (cash, as in greenback dollars). That won’t be an issue here, because we don’t accept cash as a form of payment.
Recommendations/advice:
We are not financial advisors. While we are more than happy to answer any questions and/or offer expert opinions on what different products are available, how popular they are etc., financial advice is above our pay grade. Further, we are not tax or legal experts and cannot (and will not) advise you on current tax regulations. Please check with your financial guru and/or your tax consultant for advice on purchasing precious metals.
Shipping Your Purchase
– Orders are typically shipped within 1-3 business days from the day your funds have cleared.
– You will receive shipping confirmation and tracking info via email once your order has been shipped.
– Due to weight or value, your order may be shipped to you in more than one package and/or arrive on different days.
– Scheduled delivery days are projected by the courier (we use only USPS, FedEx and UPS). We are not responsible for any delays that may be due to industry-wide shipping delays, natural disasters or any other factor outside of our direct control.
– Vault Wholesale orders are professionally and discretely packed. We use private insurance to insure that the delivery has no indication of the contents or value of the package.
– All shipments are “signature required”.
– For purchases of $100,000 or more, we are happy to arrange for armored transport (at your expense)
– We do not ship to third party addresses (UPS store, Mailboxes etc.). Why? Because once the package has been signed for, the shipping insurance coverage ends. Simply put – you may trust them – but our insurance companies don’t! The one exception would be:
Delivery to independent banks and depositories in the U.S.
We are happy to ship your purchases to your appointed depository, bank or precious metals IRA custodian. In addition to receiving emailed shipping notification and tracking info from us, your bank, depository or IRA custodian should send you a Commodity Transfer Notice indicating their receipt of the metal that they are holding on your behalf.
Return Policy
– We guarantee your complete satisfaction on all your purchases.
– We offer a three-day unconditional examination period for all certified and non-certified coin purchases. If you wish to invoke your guarantee, you must contact us by phone or email within three (3) days of receiving your order. AFTER THREE DAYS, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
– Returns may be charged a ten (10) percent restocking fee. Due to industry standards and practices, THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON ANY BULLION-RELATED PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ‘JUNK’ SILVER. We will buy back any bullion-related product at any time in accordance with our Buyback Guarantee
– Any items returned to Vault Wholesale must be shipped per detailed instructions we will provide.
– Please enclose an itemized packing slip when returns are shipped to Vault Wholesale.
– DO NOT insure the package. We will insure it privately. Otherwise, you’re putting a giant bullseye on the package. In most cases, we will either email you pre-paid mailing label or reimburse you for pre-approved shipping.
– Until package is signed for and contents are verified by Vault Wholesale, the customer bears risk of loss or non-delivery. Contents are your sole property and you assume full responsibility for them.
– All packages shipped to Vault Wholesale will be logged on camera via our security system to insure that the contents of the package matches the included paperwork. Should a discrepancy arise, the customer will be notified immediately via phone/email, and a copy of the photos or videotape will be made available.
Grading Guarantees
Vault Wholesale only sells certified coins graded by PCGS (The Professional Coin Grading Service) and NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation). Any claims regarding the grade or authenticity of PCGS or NGC coins purchased from Vault Wholesale are the sole responsibility of the grading services, not Vault Wholesale. You can find PCGS guarantee here and NGC’s here.
Market Loss Policy
When purchasing from or selling to Vault Wholesale, once your order is mutually confirmed, you and we agree that we have entered into a binding legal agreement. Your price is locked in and the transaction may not be canceled, but may be offset at our current ‘ask’ or ‘bid’ price. Any deficit between the price at which Vault Wholesale sold or purchased the product(s) to or from you and the applicable offsetting ask or bid price is your responsibility.
Buyback Guarantee
Vault Wholesale guarantees to buy back any and all products purchased from us at our current daily bid price.
For details, please refer to our guaranteed buyback page. Thanks.
The short version is:
– If you’d like to sell your precious metals to Vault Wholesale, please call us at 209.610.0941 to receive a quote (and, hopefully, confirm your transaction). Once you have agreed to lock in a sell order, your transaction will confirmed by Vault Wholesale with a purchase order, given verbally and via email, usually within 30-60 minutes.
– We will email you specific shipping instructions and a pre-paid shipping label.
– Once we receive your package and verify contents, we will notify you by email. Payment timing varies depending on type of metal shipped. Our standard quote is that we will “send a company check within 3-5 business days”. If there is a variance, we will state that at time of lock. A couple of examples: if you’re shipping us the most common bullion items (government minted coins such as Eagles, Buffaloes, Maples, Philharmonics, Krugerrands etc. or gold and silver bars) to our facility in Buffalo, payment is typically initiated within 1-2 business days. Likewise, if you’re selling numismatics, payment typically takes a little longer. Again, we will set your expectation at the time we lock the transaction.
– Client may request to receive payment by bank wire. A charge of $25 per domestic wire will be automatically deducted from the funds we send to you.
– Client understands that there is a spread between bid and ask prices. This spread will vary with market conditions. The price at which you sell metals or coins to us may not be the same as the price at which you purchase metals or coins from us. Client acknowledges that prices of metals and coins are volatile and may fluctuate significantly over time, based upon numerous factors, including supply and demand, political and economic conditions etc.
Confidentiality
We keep all transactions and customer information confidential. We do not report to any third parties, except to satisfy government cash-reporting requirements for dealers under federal regulations. Of course, we don’t accept cash, so all of your transactions will be private.

Risk Disclosure
General Terms
Purchases of coins, bullion and collectibles involve substantial risk. Historically, there have been periods of varying length during which prices of coins, bullion and collectibles have moved adversely. Market prices are volatile and unpredictable and may be affected by a variety of factors including, among others, general economic conditions, political events, monetary policies of various countries, speculative activity, transactions and events in futures markets and the degree of concern people have about these matters. It is impossible to forecast accurately how or to what degree these or other factors will affect prices. Past performance of precious metals and coins is no guarantee of future performance.
Purchases of coins, bullion and collectibles should only be made with discretionary funds and not with monies necessary to cover or produce client’s day-to-day living expenses.
Before client chooses to buy or sell, client must determine in client’s own mind client’s ability to understand the transaction and to meet all financial commitments to be made. Persons with limited investment experience or low incomes or assets should be particularly sensitive to the risk and requirements involved in buying coins, bullion and collectibles.
The resale value of precious metals and coins may not be equal to the original purchase price if you decide to sell the metals or coins back to us. Due to the spread between buy and sell prices, there may still be a loss despite favorable price movement.
Vault Wholesale does not offer advice on tax implications of buying or selling precious metals or rare coins. Please consult with your professional tax advisor regarding such matters.
Our employees are not registered financial advisors. The suggestions or opinions we provide by phone, in writing, or on our website, and all other promotional material is provided for informational purposes only. Vault Wholesale and its employees do not render legal or investment advice. We are not agents for our customers and owe no fiduciary duty to them.
Once Vault Wholesale has confirmed your transaction, a binding contract is created. Regardless of what happens to the price of the metals or coins after your transaction is confirmed, the contracted price is binding on client and Vault Wholesale. Customer bears the full risk of any movement in the market price between the time of purchase and subsequent delivery and client is obligated to take delivery at price originally agreed to in the trade confirmation.
Vault Wholesale will rely upon instructions and orders given by client over the telephone. It is the practice of the industry that all trades placed over the telephone are binding contracts and must be honored. Once a trade is placed by client and accepted by an authorized Vault Wholesale representative, a contract is created. Trades may be reversed only upon mutual consent of the parties to this Agreement.
In times of highly volatile markets, Vault Wholesale phone lines may be busy due to the volume of incoming and outgoing calls. It is also possible for telephone lines to fail for reasons beyond Vault Wholesale’s control. Because of this, client is advised and will be responsible to have alternative methods to communicate with Vault Wholesale (e.g., email, courier messenger service, etc.) should it become necessary to do so.
Client is solely responsible for all purchasing, selling and borrowing decisions for client’s account. This means client makes and is responsible for all client’s trading decisions. If client believes that any representative of Vault Wholesale has made a verbal or written representation that is inconsistent with the terms or risks set forth herein (e.g., “At its current price, your coins, bullion and collectibles can only go up in value.”) or is offensive or unprofessional in nature (e.g., high pressure or unresponsive to requests), client will notify Vault Wholesale in writing immediately. If client fails to make the required notification by the tenth (10th) business day following the date on which the event first became known to client, client waives all right to contest such order, matter or omission and client’s account will stand, as is, as of the end of such business day.
Tax consequences of transactions with Vault Wholesale are the sole responsibility of client.
Client shall pay to Vault Wholesale any sales, use or other tax applicable to transactions with Vault Wholesale.
Client is a sophisticated investor who understands that coins, bullions and collectibles can be purchased from and sold to competitors of Vault Wholesale.

Force Majeure
In the event of adverse conditions in the marketplace or other factors beyond the control of Vault Wholesale, including, but not limited to, acts of God, national emergencies, adverse governmental actions, or suspension of trading of silver, gold, platinum or other metals by U.S. commodity exchanges, or the delivery of the coins, bullion and collectibles underlying such contracts, or the failure or delay of suppliers, the maximum time for delivery of such coins, bullion and collectibles may be extended indefinitely during the period of such adverse circumstances. Vault Wholesale will not be responsible for delays or failures in the transmission, receipt or execution of orders, payments, deliveries or information due to the incapacity or failure of computer, transmission or communication facilities which are beyond the control of Vault Wholesale
