Reportable Bullion Transactions
Some coin transactions are reportable to the US government and some are not. We are not tax or legal experts and cannot advise you on current tax regulations. Please check with your tax consultant before making rare coin and bullion purchases for the latest reporting rules. You may also get information from The Industry Council for Tangible Assets LINK: (www.icta.com)

It is our understanding that the purchase of rare coins is not reportable unless your purchase totals more than $10,000 and you pay in cash.

Payment
Once you have placed an order to buy or sell with Vault Wholesale, you have entered into a binding agreement.

The price at the time that you place your order is the final price, even if fluctuations in the market occur after the order is placed. You must pay the price agreed on when your trade was confirmed.

Orders placed by phone will have the same effect as if the order was placed in writing or online. Your order confirmation may be recorded to ensure the details of the order (price, quantity, payment method, shipping address etc.) are correct.

We accept bank wires, personal checks, company checks, Visa and MasterCard, PayPal (including payments by American Express & Discover), and PayPal echecks.

Credit card orders for any amount are reviewed on an order by order basis. Large credit card orders may be subject to additional documentation or screening and are subject to our approval.

Within twenty four (24) hours of submitting online orders over $5,000, Vault Wholesale will contact you during business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM Pacific) to verify the sale and arrange payment.  A ten (10) percent non-refundable deposit via Credit Card may be required when confirming your order.

All checks take five to seven working days to clear. Your purchases will be cleared for shipment once funds are available.

International orders must be paid for by bank wire, credit card, or PayPal. Please note that an additional $25 US must be added for all bank wires sent to Vault Wholesale from outside the United States. This charge covers administrative fees. However, this amount does not cover fees that your bank may charge. We suggest that you indicate to your bank the total amount that you require to reach the destination bank.

We are unable to accept cashier’s checks, third party checks or money orders.

Shipping Your Purchase

Your order is usually shipped one to three business days from the day your funds have cleared. Due to weight or value, your order may be shipped to you in more than one package and arrive on different days. Delivery may be subject to industry-wide delays in shipments from distributors.

Vault Wholesale orders are professionally packed and, in most cases, shipped fully insured via USPS Registered Mail. The U.S. Postal Service may not be the fastest delivery service (an average of 5-10 business days for Registered Mail), but it is the most secure for high-value shipments. When your package arrives at your local Post Office, they will either deliver the package to your mailing address or notify you to pick up it up. Photo ID and valid signature are required to release your package.

For purchases of $100,000 or more, we are happy to arrange for armored transport on request.

You will be informed via email that your order has been shipped. We will make every effort to provide you with a tracking number. Your parcel’s USPS tracking number will be updated on your online account once your package has been sent. Please keep in mind that, unlike other shipping services, Registered Mail numbers are not always ‘live’ on USPS’s website: they only update when the packages arrive at your local post office, or when they are delivered. Until then, Track and Confirm might read, “There is no record of this item.” Please let us know if your package hasn’t arrived within ten business days of your shipping notification. Simply call us at 503.213.3352 and we will be happy to assist you.

Orders shipped USPS Registered Insured Mail can be sent to a PO Box. A signature is required upon delivery of your package.

Should anything happen while your package is in transit to you it will be covered by postal insurance. Vault Wholesale will not accept responsibility however, if you have instructed the particular carrier to leave parcels for you without the need for a signature. Vault Wholesale cannot be held responsible for any package delivered to a non-residential address which is signed for by a third party. If you have given instructions to leave your package with a building manager, neighbor, drop-off location such as Mail Boxes Etc, The UPS Store, etc., YOUR PACKAGE WILL NOT BE COVERED AND YOU ACCEPT ALL LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE.

Delivery to independent banks and depositories in the U.S.
We will send your purchases to your appointed depository, bank or precious metals custodian. When your purchase is delivered to a bank or depository, the custodian will send you a Commodity Transfer Notice indicating their receipt of the metal that they are holding on your behalf.

Risk Disclosure

General Terms
Purchases of coins, bullion and collectibles involve substantial risk. Historically, there have been periods of varying length during which prices of coins, bullion and collectibles have moved adversely. Market prices are volatile and unpredictable and may be affected by a variety of factors including, among others, general economic conditions, political events, monetary policies of various countries, speculative activity, transactions and events in futures markets and the degree of concern people have about these matters. It is impossible to forecast accurately how or to what degree these or other factors will affect prices. Past performance of precious metals and coins is no guarantee of future performance.

Purchases of coins, bullion and collectibles should only be made with discretionary funds and not with monies necessary to cover or produce client’s day-to-day living expenses.

Before client chooses to buy or sell, client must determine in client’s own mind client’s ability to understand the transaction and to meet all financial commitments to be made. Persons with limited investment experience or low incomes or assets should be particularly sensitive to the risk and requirements involved in buying coins, bullion and collectibles.

The resale value of precious metals and coins may not be equal to the original purchase price if you decide to sell the metals or coins back to us. Due to the spread between buy and sell prices, there may still be a loss despite favorable price movement.

Vault Wholesale does not offer advice on tax implications of buying or selling precious metals or rare coins. Please consult with your professional tax advisor regarding such matters.

Our employees are not registered financial advisors. The suggestions or opinions we provide by phone, in writing, or on our website, and all other promotional material is provided for informational purposes only. Vault Wholesale and its employees do not render legal or investment advice. We are not agents for our customers and owe no fiduciary duty to them.

Once Vault Wholesale has confirmed your transaction, a binding contract is created. Regardless of what happens to the price of the metals or coins after your transaction is confirmed, the contracted price is binding on client and Vault Wholesale. Customer bears the full risk of any movement in the market price between the time of purchase and subsequent delivery and client is obligated to take delivery at price originally agreed to in the trade confirmation.

Vault Wholesale will rely upon instructions and orders given by client over the telephone. It is the practice of the industry that all trades placed over the telephone are binding contracts and must be honored. Once a trade is placed by client and accepted by an authorized Vault Wholesale representative, a contract is created. Trades may be reversed only upon mutual consent of the parties to this Agreement.

In times of highly volatile markets, Vault Wholesale phone lines may be busy due to the volume of incoming and outgoing calls. It is also possible for telephone lines to fail for reasons beyond Vault Wholesale’s control. Because of this, client is advised and will be responsible to have alternative methods to communicate with Vault Wholesale (e.g., email, courier messenger service, etc.) should it become necessary to do so.

Client is solely responsible for all purchasing, selling and borrowing decisions for client’s account. This means client makes and is responsible for all client’s trading decisions. If client believes that any representative of Vault Wholesale has made a verbal or written representation that is inconsistent with the terms or risks set forth herein (e.g., “At its current price, your coins, bullion and collectibles can only go up in value.”) or is offensive or unprofessional in nature (e.g., high pressure or unresponsive to requests), client will notify Vault Wholesale in writing immediately. If client fails to make the required notification by the tenth (10th) business day following the date on which the event first became known to client, client waives all right to contest such order, matter or omission and client’s account will stand, as is, as of the end of such business day.

Tax consequences of transactions with Vault Wholesale are the sole responsibility of client.
Client shall pay to Vault Wholesale any sales, use or other tax applicable to transactions with Vault Wholesale.
Client is a sophisticated investor who understands that coins, bullions and collectibles can be purchased from and sold to competitors of Vault Wholesale.
