Joel joined the team in 2009 after a long and storied career with Tower Records, where he ultimately served as Director of Purchasing for the entire chain. During his tenure, Joel was responsible for more than $1.6 billion in sales.

Over the years, Joel worked with legends like Ringo Starr, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Elton John. His work earned him numerous gold and platinum records, including classics such as Jimi Hendrix – Axis: Bold As Love, Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon, The Band – “Brown Album”, and many more (Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston, Nirvana… the list goes on).

Back then, Joel worked at the corner candy store in exchange for Ring Dings and whatever collectible coins he found in the till. Joel actually learned math by studying the backs of baseball cards. He was quite the philatelist too (until he cleaned up his act).
