The $10 Indian head eagle is a US coin minted from 1907-1916, and then in 1920, 1926, 1930, 1932 and 1933. Designed by the legendary Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the obverse features the left facing profile of Liberty in an Indian war bonnet, with 13 stars and the date. The reverse features a standing eagle on a bunch of arrows, its left talon holding an olive branch in place, and the words E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and TEN DOLLARS. The mint mark is found to the left of the arrowheads. The 1907 and early 1908 coins had no motto. Beginning in 1908, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST appeared on the reverse. The edge of the coin featured 46 stars from 1908-1911, with 48 stars from 1912 onward. Magnificent!
