Weekend specials from Vault Wholesale – 5.24.19

May 24, 2019
Happy Friday!

I would like to take a moment to honor all of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. I don’t want to imagine where we’d all be without your courage and your dedication to our country.

In 2012, I had the great privilege of paying my respects at Colleville-Sur-Mer, the American cemetery in Normandy, France, where I took this photo.

God Bless America.

On to precious metals…

A decent little rebound for silver and gold this week. Hopefully, the previous week or two were just a mini-correction and now we can get back to seeing some continued positive results.

Hey! Silver below $15 is just plain silly! To quote so many of our clients, “It just doesn’t make sense”.

What does make sense is to load up on great silver deals while both the spot prices andthe premiums are rock bottom. This week, we’re offering tremendous bargains on Franklin Half Dollars and some nice shiny Peace Dollars. And for our gold bugs, we have lots of $2.50 Gold Indians for $100 off our published prices!
Certified coin specials:
As I was picking and choosing the coins for our newsletter this week, I was pleasantly interrupted with a nice little deal of better-date $20 Liberty Gold and (and this is an odd coincidence) a group of certified French 20 francs. We have priced all of these to sell.
Market Conditions:
This week’s closing spot prices, per Kitco:
Gold $1,285.60
Silver $14.63
Platinum $809
Palladium $1,340
Thanks for reading. We truly appreciate you! Hope you have a great three-day weekend.
I was thinking a lot about France this morning, going through my pictures of Notre Dame and Normandy, and then through the door comes a lot of old French 20 francs goldpieces. Now, we’ve sold plenty of twenty francs over the years (I love ’em), but I don’t recall ever seeing any certified before. How weird is that? Coincidence?

Each of these 19th century gems contain .1867 oz of gold, a total of 1.12 oz for the lot of six. I began researching the values, starting with the 1851-A, and I found this list:
Please keep in mind that these prices of $306-$318 are for EF-AU coins. The ones we’re offering are all certified MS61-MS64 (aka MUCH nicer coins). And, of course, we’re asking lower prices, even though the coins are higher grade.
Your price:
The lot of 6 coins pictured above is only $295 per coin ($1,770 for the lot)
Exact coins pictured. First come, first served

1893-S $20 LIBERTY – PCGS certified MS63

There’s a good, solid, better date, San Francisco minted MS63 for you.
PCGS price guide is only $2,600, but I’m seeing a recent auction for $2,835 and I see another online right now for $2,720 (links to both available on request).
Your price is only $2,495
Exact coin pictured – first come, first served

1894-S $20 LIBERTY – PCGS certified MS63

From the same collection, we have the next year’s coin as well – a good looking 1894-S, also in MS63.
PCGS price guide is $2,400 with a very recent auction fetching $2,280 (link to auction available on request).
Your price is: only $2,195
Exact coin pictured – first come, first served
Can’t decide between the 1893-S and the 1894-S? Let’s make a deal on the pair

Odd lot of certified gold

Our seller of the French 20 francs also had these little European fractional gold coins. We’d prefer to sell the three as a lot – but our heels are not dug in 🙂

1873A German 10 Marks gold – NGC MS65 (gold content .1152 oz.)
I found a few recent national auctions that realized an average of $215.
We’re asking only $199

1917-C CANADIAN SOVEREIGN – PCGS MS62 (gold content .2354 oz.)
I’ve seen these in recent national auctions for anywhere from $462 – $600
Your price: only $429

1919-C CANADIAN SOVEREIGN – NGC certified MS62 (gold content .2354 oz.)
There’s one of these on eBay right now going for $809. More realistically, we’re seeing a sold national auction price of $499.
Your price is only $429

Total for the three individual coins works out to $1,057, but as I said, we’d prefer to sell as a lot. Let’s call it only $950 for the lot and save you a hundred bucks.
Exact coins pictured. First come, first served
Reminder: we’re trying to keep these listings below $10,000, while offering the higher end coins in our new High Roller Club newsletter. To join, just reply to this email and ask to subscribe. Simple as that.
