September 22, 2018
Happy Saturday!
Thanks so much to all who participated in the Palladium program. We felt blessed to have so many responses; even more so seeing as how the US Mint was sold out in just 8 minutes!
The US Mint has sold out of Silver Eagles, every vendor we deal with is back ordered on 100 oz Engelhard bars and  wholesale premiums on  90% silver  continue to rise dramatically – 5 price hikes in the past two weeks! We’re seeing our competitors raising prices (as we have, but we’re still lower than they are!) and we’re starting to see a lot of “out of stock/alert me” buttons on websites where prices used to be. Supply is starting to get critically low.
There is some good 90% silver news though – we have a nice deal on Peace Dollars (XF and AU). Better grab some while they’re still cheap and on sale!
This week’s rare certified coin specials include:
A lovely 151 year old gold Double Eagle, a stunning 1903 $20 Liberty in MS65, a small batch of MS65 Saint-Gaudens that we’re blowing out for $100 less than the USA’s leading seller of “Saints”, a spectacular proof  Franklin Half  (PF68!) and,  as I type, we’ve just come across a striking  Carson City $20 Liberty Head.
This week’s closing spot prices per Kitco:
Gold: $1,199.70
Silver: $14.35
Platinum: $831
Palladium: $1,058
Thank you so much for sharing some of your valuable time with us!

Wishing you and yours a great weekend!

90% SILVER at market leading prices:
As noted earlier, wholesale premiums continue to go up. We have actually lowered our already tiny margins a bit to keep your prices low, but our cost is rising (five wholesale increases over just the past 15 days!).
Why is this a good thing?
In as few words as possible, “supply and demand”.
The steadily declining spot prices had greatly reduced demand over time. However, since silver approached $14/oz recently, many people have perceived this price threshold as “the bottom” and the demand has increased dramatically. With so few people able to make a profit selling with the current bid price at $14.25, supply has all but dried up nationally. When demand outweighs supply, prices have historically risen. And really, isn’t that what we all want? For the value of our silver (and gold, platinum and palladium) to go up? Yes! That is certainly what we all want.
Side note: pl ease, don’t forget how good we’ve had it. At the peak of silver prices, premiums on 90% silver got up to $5.99/oz above spot. The fact that we’ve been able to sell “junk” silver for less than a dollar above spot for the past couple of years is remarkable. We’ve been spoiled, but it looks as if that party has ended.
All that said, we are still offering Roosevelt Dimes and Washington Quarters as low as $1.49 above spot and Mercury Dimes, Walking Liberty, Franklin and 1964 JFK halves for as low as only spot +$1.99 over spot.
Check the competition – we’re still the market leader! And, in the grand scheme of things, 90% silver is still a VERY LOW PREMIUM silver purchase!
